My life was forever changed by Sweet Grace Ministries on a cold January afternoon in 2018. I reached out to my friend Katy after just coming home from an ultrasound at my OBs office. There I was told “I'm sorry, your baby no longer has a heartbeat”. I had known Katy for a number of years by this time. Via social media I had watched the ministry grow that she built from the ground up, Sweet Grace Ministries. I knew that she would know all the right things to do and say to make it all better. Although there is no way to fix my grief, I discovered that giving back to those hurting and connecting with other loss parents was a way for me to heal my pain. I started attending a support group just days after my loss. I then started volunteering as a support group facilitator and a hospital coordinator in 2019. I served in both of those roles for over 4 years when Katy approached me about joining the staff. After praying for God to provide a position exactly like this, I came on staff in May of 2023. I am the support group coordinator and began overseeing our 5 in person support groups and 1 online support group. As Sweet Grace Ministries continues to grow I will train and oversee our current and new volunteers. I also organize special events such as our Mothers Day and Christmas gatherings. It is an honor every day to be able to support families going through the unimaginable.
